Our Mission
The Trillium Dance Foundation is dedicated to supporting dancers and professionals throughout their dance careers. Our programs, including dress awards, emergency relief, and donation programs, aim to lessen financial obstacles, offer support during hardship, and broaden access and opportunities for emerging professionals, collegiate dancers, and amateurs.
Emerging Female Professionals
The Trillium Dress Awards recognizes up-and-coming professional female instructors who are deeply dedicated to their students and their craft. Honorees receive a beautifully handcrafted dress to help start their career, offering financial independence, stability, and a foundation for long-term growth within the dance community. This award reflects our belief in supporting women as they build their professional path -ensuring they have the resources, confidence, and recognition they deserve as they continue to shape the next generation of dancers.
Emergency and Disaster Relief
The Emergency and Disaster Relief Fund offers compassionate, immediate support to professional dancers whose lives have been disrupted by crisis. This program provides financial assistance to those facing medical emergencies, natural disasters such as fires, and acts of violence within their communities. As a dance community, we believe in standing together -ensuring that no dancer faces hardship alone. Our goal is to help individuals regain stability, preserve their livelihood, and move forward with strength and dignity during their most challenging moments.
Collegiate and Amateur
The Collegiate and Amateur Dress donation program provides gently used and newly crafted dresses to dancers who are building their skills and pursuing opportunities at the amateur or collegiate level. As a community, we believe in lifting one another up-ensuring that every dancer has access to the tools they need to grow, perform, and participate fully. These donations help reduce financial barriers, support emerging talent, and give dancers the confidence to step forward in their journey.
